Here is a typical Panama style slingshot, made from locally available materials in the style which my sons showed me. It is very similar to the ones they made as boys. It is powered by #107 size Alliance rubber bands, pulls about 10 pounds and is suitable for shooting marbles, round smooth stones and 3/8 inch lead balls.

These are examples of aluminum framed slingshots made from solid 5/16th inch round aluminum rod. The one with yellow bands is the model I currently produce, with the handle wrapped with 550 paracord. They are available with Theraband Yellow, Red, and Green bands.

Yellow pulls about 10 pounds and is highly recommended for new shooters. It is ideal for learning and shoots glass marbles, round smooth stones and 3/8th inch lead balls.

Red is more powerful, pulls about 13 pounds and can handle up to .44 cal lead.

Green is heavier pull at about 16 pounds and is recommended for .44 and .50 caliber lead balls. I do not recommend shooting glass marbles with green bands.

Also, these aluminum frames can be fitted with almost any commercially available slingshot tubes.

Band sets - Made from Alliance Sterling #107 or #105 rubber bands and fitted with a tough, long-lasting shoe leather "Shoot Anything" pouch. The pouch measures 1x3.5 inches. These are good long-life workhorse band sets. The #107 bands are 14 inches long before attaching/trimming, while the #105s are 10 inches. Theraband Tube Bandsets - Made from Theraband exercise tubes and fitted with a tough, long-lasting shoe leather "Shoot Anything" pouch. The pouch measures 1x3.5 inches. These are good long-life workhorse band sets for wire frame slingshots.

Available in Yellow, Red, or Green.

Yellow is great for beginners or anyone who needs a lighter pull. Good for target shooting and plinking. About 10 pounds pull at 30 inches

Red is stronger and can handle heavier ammo, up to .44 cal lead. About 13 pounds at 30 inches.

Green will get you into the small game hunting arena. About 16 pounds at 30 inches.

Developed especially for my Aluminum Bent Rod frames, they will work with any commercial slingshot which uses tubes. These bandsets seemingly last forever. I haven't worn out a set yet.
